What's up in the world of Vent...

DATELINE: Dec. 5, 2000

We've all been wanting to know about how things are going with Vent finding a producer for their new album. This is what Ben had to say on their offcical message board:

Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you know, we'll have picked out our new producer within the next week or so. So make sure you come back to the site soon for the news. Also, to those who wrote below about our CD "Papa's Dojo", we're all very happy to hear you're enjoying the CD. For those who are coming on the 12th to see us play at the Whisky, prepare for some serious Rock n'Roll!!! Take care and everyone. YOU ALL RULE!!!!

Speaking of the Whisky, the show has sold out, so those who were lucky enough to get tix, enjoy.

DATELINE: Dec. 2, 2000

VENT will be playing with Buckcherry and Broken @ the Whisky Tuesday, December 12th in Hollywood, CA. Show starts at 8:00 P.M. See the Tour section for info

DATELINE: Nov. 3, 2000

As mentioned before here on VentNet, the reason why Michael Beinhorn will not be producing Vent's first major label record is due to KoRn selecting him to produce their follow up to "Issues". Unfortunately, he chose big name over amazing music. But I feel that only good things will prosper from this...

DATELINE: Oct. 18, 2000

Vent will no longer be joining forces with producer Michael Beinhorn for their major label debut album due out March 2001. Here is what was posted on the official site:

10-17-00- VENT Change in plans...

Hey everyone, We have a slight change in plans. Something came up, and now Michael Beinhorn (producer) will not be able to work on our record. So, we're going to be working with someone else, whom will soon be announced. Take care everyone. Sincerely, Ben

DATELINE: Oct. 13, 2000

The Vent Music site now has personal bios for Ben, Jamin, Paul, and Jason up.

They're really well written and give great looks at each of their backgrounds. You can also check out the bios that they each wrote for VentNet here. DATELINE: Oct. 9, 2000

In the official E-letter sent today, Ben had this to say about the new message board that has been posted on the VentMusic site:

"It's a great addition to the site. Now we can all communicate much easier. So have fun, post a question or a simple "hello." We check the post daily, so you'll see consistent new updates from us on there."

DATELINE: Oct. 7, 2000

The VentMusic site has been updated. You can now post messages on their message board and interact with other fans. Ben also has this to say about how things are working out in the studio on the Notes section of the site (I'm sure he ment 10.5.00...):

09.5.00- VENT in preproduction

Hey everyone, How's it going? I figured I'd drop in here and let you know how things are going. Well, we started working with Michael Beinhorn (Producer), and things are going great. We're in the middle of Preproduction. Which means, we're working on our songs with him, before we begin recording to tape. Anyway, I hope all is well with everyone. Thanks so much for supporting us. Vent has officially hit the studio! Here's what Ben had to say concerning how the recording is going down:

Hey there,

We just wanted to give you an update on what we're doing. We're heading into the studio October 3rd to record a few new tracks with an exceptionally talented producer named Michael Beinhorn. He's produced acts such as: Soundgarden, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Hole, Marilyn Manson, and many more. We've spent a long time working on this new record, so be prepared for some serious ROCK N' ROLL!!! Anyway, we hope all is well. Thanks for being there for us. We can't thank you enough...

The Official Vent site has been updated once again...this time, the guys are doing even more to reach out and touch the fans...they're updating everyone on what's new through Real Video, which is a nice touch. 09.25.00 - Time to try some new tunes in the studio.

Hello internet!!! We are just finishing up some of our last tunes before we hit the studio. Next week (October 3rd) we will be recording 2-3 new songs with Michael Beinhorn. He is an amazing producer, and musical genius. As for the songs, they're coming along great. I am really excited to hear them recorded. Hope all is well take care Paul

Vent will be entering the recording studio Friday November 3rd with Producer Michael Beinhorn to record a few new tracks. The band is really excited to finally get into the recording studio. Beinhorn has worked with such artists as Soundgarden, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Hole, Marilyn Manson, and more...

Vent is getting ready to begin recording their new album very soon! Lots of endorsements have been sent to the guys from Paul Reed Smith Guitars , Mesa Boogie Amplifiers , and Warwick Bass'. Jamin is also discussing some endorsements with a bunch of drum companies...good luck!
